Since its foundation, the Department of Literature of Museum of Latin american Art of Buenos Aires has worked on the diffusion of the contemporary literature, creating spaces for meeting and debate, and contributing to the circulation of authors through publications, courses, interviews and conferences. Your monthly schedule includes the participation of writers, critics and intellectuals local and international.

The Residence of Writers Malba (REM) is an initiative of Latin Literature that offers its participants the ability to live five weeks in Buenos Aires as part of their artistic and professional development. Each year, makes a single call to cover the stays of the following year.

The REM has its headquarters a block away from the museum, which allows authors to freely access the programming of Malba during your stay, as well as to consult the library of Ampersand —institutional member of the REM—. In addition, we organise three public events to disseminate the work of the guest author, as part of his agenda in the city.

The residences will be carried out from April to November 2026.
The call is made for the only time in the month of October.
