The exhibition revisits the concept of anthropophagy developed by Oswald de Andrade. This notion offers a framework for understanding the originality of Latin American art through the critical assimilation of Western modernism and the recognition of the identities that shape the region. From this perspective, the exhibition highlights shared artistic inquiries while amplifying the diversity of Latin American art.
It includes a selection of works from the recently acquired Daros Latinamerica Collection. Today, with more than 2,770 works, the Malba–Costantini Collection stands as one of the most representative collections of modern and contemporary Latin American art in the world.
